Information

This helicopter was the very first A109 in Sweden. It was constructed by Agusta SpA in Italy back in 1978 and got registered in Sweden by Ostermans Aero AB back in April of 1979. Ostermans mainly used the machine on the regular helicopter traffic between Malmö and Copenhagen, but frequently used it for demonstration purposes as well.

The helicopter was damaged during an autorotation practice at Barkaby Airport in Stockholm in July 1980. It was sold to Italy (I-CAMA), where it was repaired.

It returned to Sweden in 1985, this time purchased by Förenade Bil Import AB, operated by HelikopterService Euro Air AB. Just as Ostermans Aero did five years earlier, HelikopterService used the aircraft on the regular helicopter route between Helsingborg, Malmö and the airport in Copenhagen. The helicopter was sold to Germany in late-1992 (reg. D-HMOD), and got replaced by an N2 Dauhpin.
