Information

SE-HRA has a long history in Scandinavia. It was assembled in 1959 and was part of the second batch of Alouette IIs delivered to the Swedish Navy. The helicopter entered service in July 1959, together with three other Alouettes, locally designated HKP 2. The aircraft served in Stockholm and was later transferred to the 2nd helicopter division in Gothenburg.

Y-38 was retired in 1984, and it was one of two HKP 2s that eventually ended up at the civil market. The helicopter was registered SE-HRA by Heli-Trans AB in March 1987. It was leased to Osterman Helicopter between 1987-1989, before it was sold to a private company in the Gothenburg area. The helicopter was purchased by Helikoptertjänst i Kittelfjäll AB in September 1995, and it was operated by the company until November 1999, when it was sold to Norwegian Helikopter Transport AS. The aircraft was leased to Polarflyg until the company went bankrupt in 2002. It was moved to Bromma Airport in Stockholm and offered for sale by the Swedish Enforcement Authority.

SE-HRA was sold to Norway in 2003 and obtained the registration LN-OCK in November 2004.
