Information

This aircraft was manufactured by Bell back in 1976. It was one of the early-generation Long Rangers. The helicopter was operated in Norway until 1983, when it was sold to England. It was imported to Sweden in April 1986, purchased by Osterman Helicopter AB in Gothenburg.

The 4500-hour helicopter was lost in an accident on 16 September 1986. It was engaged in a sunrise filming job at Snäckedjupet, south of Lysekil, when it accidentally struck a maritime navigation mark. A German camera operator who was standing on one of the skids whilst filming lost his life.
