Information
SE-JDX was the very first model "B3" of the successful AS 350 Ecureuil family to be constructed by Eurocopter. It was assembled in Eurocopter's French factory in Marginane, Marseilles, in 1997 and registered
F-WQDX for trial purposes. The Swedish utility helicopter company found a great interest in the new powerful piece of machinery and subsequently became the launch costumer for the B3. The very first specimen was sold to Osterman and it was registered as
SE-JDX in Sweden on 6 March 1998, soon followed by its B3 sister ship
SE-JFX.
Osterman mainly used
SE-JDX for agricultural missions (like manuering and liming) but also operated it in heavy lifts and other tasks in that category. It was a great complement, increasingly even kind of a successor, to the company's fleet of B1s and B2s. At that time Osterman also operated a BK 117 and a few Bell helicopters (one 212, a Jet and a Long Ranger). Replacing all other models side by side with a large number of EC120s the B3 proved to be the powerful future of the company.
SE-JDX was transferred into the refurbished company Osterman Helicopter i Östersund AB's fleet in November 2011.
The helicopter was sold to Canada in February 2012.
