Information
This helicopter was Osterman Helicopters second "B3". It was purchased in 1998 and got registered on 2 July the same year. It's sister-ship, the B3
SE-JDX had been purchased a few months earlier and Osterman had found a great interest in the strong B3 model of the Ecureuil family. They were currently using B1- and B2 models as well as BK 117, Bell 212 and Bell Jet-/Long Rangers. B3s proved to be the future of Osterman Helicopter. Nowadays the company operates a fleet of EC 120 Colibris and AS 350 B3 Ecureuils, of which
SE-JFX was a part before it was sold to Spanish Helimar Helicópteros in May 2004 and registered EC-IYQ.
Unfortunately the helicopter was lost in a crash near Trasalba on 14 July 2004 when it struck cables when it flew into smoke during a fire-fighting mission.
