Information
This aircraft was constructed in 1987 and spent its first 23 years in Japan before it was imported to Sweden via the US in mid-2010.
It was privately owned by a company on the west coast, but it was soon leased to Osterman Helicopter. The aircraft was transferred to the refurbished company Osterman Helicopter i Östersund AB in November 2011, after which its old owner went bankrupt just a month later.
The new company, Osterman Helicopter i Östersund AB, was active for roughly 10 months before it, again, went bankrupt on 4 September 2012.
At that time
SE-JJU was privately owned by a company in Borlänge. The 7000-hour Long Ranger was retrieved from Osterman and placed in storage in a hangar in Borlänge. It went through a refurbishment and was offered for sale.
The helicopter was purchased by a private owner in Skutskär, Gävle, in the summer of 2015. It replaced the owner's previous Enstrom helicopter
SE-HHO.
SE-JJU was incorporated in
HeliNord Norden's fleet in March 2016.
