Information
This helicopter was constructed by Eurocopter in Marginane, France, back in 1997. It was exported to Singapore where it came to be used for VIP purposes. It was sold to the Finnish company Heliflite OY via Michael Savbäck AB in mid-2005 and was transported by air in a KLM freighter to Amsterdam in late-August. It was moved to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport by truck in early-September for an inspection by the customs authority. It was assemblied by Bromma Air Maintenance (BAM) at Bromma Airport in mid September and soon took to the skies.
The aircraft was flown to the most northern parts of Finland, where it replaced Heliflite’s Bo 105 (
OH-HCO) as two-pilot SAR/EMS helicopter “Aslak” at Sodankylä.
The helicopter was registered
OH-HUM in mid-2006.
