Information
This helicopter was the fourth Bell 429 to be delivered to the Swedish National Police. It arrived from the US in in November 2015 and obtained its Swedish registration soon thereafter. The helicopter, which was assembled at Patria Helicopters' maintenance facility at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, was transferred to the Police Air Station in Gothenburg in early December 2015. It came to be the first Bell 429 in Gothenburg, but it was soon accompanied by a second aircraft.
In October and November 2016
SE-JPR was deployed in Lesbos/Greece for Shengen border patrol operations, coordinated by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency Frontex. The helicopter, which focused in surveillance, did 163 check-ups, 90 missions, and 8 search and rescue operations in 224 flight hours. A total of 301 lives were saved.
