Information

This helicopter was the fifth Bell 429 to be delivered to the Swedish National Police. It arrived from the US in in early December 2015, after obtaining a massive police customization. The aircraft was assembled by Patria Helicopters at Arlanda Airport prior to obtaining its Swedish registration on 15 December.

The helicopter was soon transferred to the Boden base, where it rapidly came to be involved in the massive helicopter-bound rescue/investigation/recovery operations that followed after a Canadair CRJ200 cargo airplane crashed in a remote mountain area near Sarek, southwest of Ritsem, in northern Sweden on 8 January 2016.
