This helicopter was constructed at Airbus Helicopter's production plant in Donauwörth, Germany, in 2014. The aircraft was registered SE-JRE
on 1 October 2014, and it became the first EC 145 T2 to be registered in Sweden. It was delivered through Roskilde, Denmark, on 18 October 2014.
The brand new helicopter came to serve as air ambulance in Finland, operated by Scandinavian MediCopter. It is part of a batch of four EC 145 T2s that replaced EMS EC 135s in Finland.
On 30 November 2016 Scandinavian MediCopter changed its named to Babcock Scandinavian AirAmbulance
as part of a global branding synchronization with the owner Babcock International Group. The new profile included a new logotype, but the operation and the structure of the company remained the same.
