Information
This aircraft was constructed at Eurocopter's Marignane assembly plant at Marseille Provence Airport, France, back in 2000. It was operated by various companies, including Ixair and Heliconia, prior to leaving France for Sweden in November 2016.
The helicopter was purchased by
Stockholms Helikoptertjänst and was flown from Paris Heliport to Stockholm in late November. At the arrival, Swiss Rotor Solutions announced that SHT had become the first customer in Scandinavia to order the AS350 Maximum Pilot View Kit. The kit, which would give “near-Lama” characteristics in terms of visibility and precision according to SHT, was expected to be mounted on the aircraft during the following winter.
The helicopter was registered
SE-JRZ (initials for the owner Richard Ziverts) in early December 2016. It joined
Stockholms Helikoptertjänst's fleet shortly thereafter, increasing the span to 8 helicopters out of 7 different types - AS350, AS355, SA315 Lama, MD500, Bell 206, Robinson R44 and Schweizer 300.
