Information
This helicopter was constructed by Robinson Helicopter Company in early-2000. It was purchased by a private person in Seattle, in the US. The helicopter was flown all over the world, of which Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain were some of the countries it visited.
In 2003 UK based Sloane Helicopters offered the helicopter for sale. It was purchased by a Swedish private person, via the Swedish Robinson dealer Helicopter Assistance AB, in December 2003. The aircraft then had approx 230 hours. It was flown to Sweden from Sloanes base at Sywell Aerodrome in UK via the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark. The first destination in Sweden was Aero Service in Karlskoga, where it was to be slightly modified and get its Swedish airworthiness certificate.
Its American registration was canceled on December 12, 2003, and the aircraft was approved by the Swedish Aviation Safety Authority (Luftfartsinspektionen) on December 19, obtaining the registration
SE-JUA.
SE-JUA was initially operated by Helicopter Assistance as a training aircraft and an air-taxi helicopter. It was later operated by the Gothenburg based flight school Svensk Pilotutbildning.
The aircraft came to be operated by Copterflyg AB for many years. It was primarily used for power line inspections, census operations and taxi flights.
The helicopter was sold to a private owner in February 2014.
