This helicopter was manufactured at Airbus Helicopter's assembly plant in southern France in 2017. It was purchased by Scandinavian Helicopter Group via Savback Helicopters, and flown across Europe to Gothenburg in southern Sweden in the summer of 2017. It was followed by the sister ship SE-JYF later the same year.

SE-JYE was exported to Guatemala in February 2018.
