Finnish Hughes 500 in French accident

A Finnish Hughes 500 has been involved in an accident near Bocognano in the south of Corsica, France. The aircraft was conducting a reconnaissance flight for a power line forest sawing operation when it lost power. According to French sources the pilot commenced an autorotation to a nearby clearing, but it was destroyed in a post-impact fire. The two people on board were seriously injured.
