MediCopter buys a Bell 429 for Gotland HEMS
Sep 03, 2012
Scandinavian MediCopter has been awarded the new EMS contract in Gotland. The agreement was initially presented in June, but it has now been sealed following the end of a recent appeal process. Gotland’s Muncipality (Region Gotland) has chosen MediCopter as its medical air service provider for the next 5+2 years, starting from 1 April 2014. The company will use a Bell 429 for the operation. The brand new helicopter type will be replacing MediCopter’s current EC 145 (SE-JJC) that serves the region.
Scandinavian MediCopter is the helicopter division of Scandinavian AirAmbulance. The group is involved in airborne medical transports throughout large parts of Scandinavia.
