Kommunalförbundet Ambulanshelikopter Värmland-Dalarna (KAVD) is looking for new co-workers to its emergency medical helicopter operations in Karlstad and Mora. The company, which is structured as a local federation shared by Värmland's County Council and Dalarna's County Council, is currently operating an EC 135 P2 in Karlstad, and it is expecting to launch a second EMS service in Dalarna by the summer/autumn of 2015. The 24-hour-alert air unit is continuously manned by one pilot, one anaesthetic doctor and one HEMS crew member (HCM). KAVD is currently in the process of acquiring brand new helicopters for Karlstad and Mora in order to replace the temporary EC 135.
KAVD is recruiting the following titles (Swedish only):
PILOTS - minimum requirements:
• CPL(H) with IR(H)
• 1000 hours flight time (helicopters)
• 500 hours PIC (helicopters)
• Fluent in Swedish (written and oral)
• Good proficiency in English
• Valid Class 1 medical
Qualifying properties (pilots): MCC, IR ME, ATPL(H), ATPL theory, NVG experience, flight instructor.
TECHNICIANS - minimum requirements:
• EASA Part 66 B1 aircraft maintenance licence (helicopter)
• Minimum five years of experience
• Good knowledge in Part 145 and Part M
Qualifying properties (technician): B2 qualification, license in EC 135.
HEMS CREW MEMBERS - minimum requirements:
• Specialized nurse
• Extensive pre-hospital EMS experience
• Emergency vehicle driving training and experience
• Class B driver’s license
Qualifying properties (HCM): Supplementary training in EMS, intensive care or anaesthesia.
