Aug 16, 2015
A Swedish single-engine turbine helicopter was involved in a hard landing near Reisadalen in Troms County in northern Norway yesterday afternoon. The Norwegian Joint Rescue Coordination Centre deployed a rescue Sea King helicopter and an EMS helicopter to the site, some 90 kilometres east of Tromsø. The helicopter was quickly found and the pilot, who was the sole occupant in the aircraft, was transported to a hospital due to back pain, according to NRK.
The cause of the incident is unknown at this time, but it is investigated by the Norwegian Accident Investigation Board.
