SE-JIR

Standing at Patria Helicopters\' maintenance facility at Arlanda Airport, north of Stockholm. The helicopter is a retired military Hkp5B that has found a new life in the civilian world.

The Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) has opened a cooperation with the maintenance company Patria Helicopters to keep these two helicopter\'s flying as a memory of the retired HKP 5Bs. A restoration project assisted by the Swedish Schweizer dealer, Helicraft AB, followed by a great deal of technical documentation and problem-solving got this machine, 05245, registered as SE-JIR on May 19, 2004.

The sister, 05246, was registered SE-JIS a year later. The two machines will be kept airborne and will be seen at flight exhibitions all around the country for many years to come.
