SE-HTG

Information

This aircraft was one of four Hughes 500Cs that were imported from Indonesia by Heliflyg in 1988-1989. It came to Sweden together with SE-HTD, SE-HTE and SE-HTF. The four of them were nicknamed "Skunkarna" (the skunks), and they entered Heliflyg's fleet in 1989.

At 3:20 on December 27 1991 the helicopter was lost in an accident in Krokom, Östersund. The aircraft had been stolen from its hangar by a 24 years old unlicensed man who had been in and around helicopters from time to time. The aircraft took off and flew for a relatively long time before it struck a power line and crashed onto a bridge. The man, who was the only person onboard, lost his life.
