Information

This aircraft was one of the very first naval F versions assembled by NHIndustries. The helicopter was manufactured at Airbus Helicopter's Donauwörth plant in southern Germany, but it was later tested in maritime conditions at Airbus Helicopter's Marignane plant in France. The helicopter wore the test registration 98+40 prior to being exported in Sweden.

First F model in Sweden
It was officially handed over to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) by NHIndustries and Airbus Helicopters on 17 December 2015, and arrived in Sweden from Donauwörth on 18 December. A period of evaluations and tests awaited the helicopter upon arrival, prior to the formal hand-over from the Swedish Materiel Administration to the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing.

The helicopter was formally handed over to the Swedish Armed Forces by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration during a ceremony at the F17 Kallinge Air Force Base in Ronneby, southern Sweden, on 27 January 2016.
