SE-HVR

Information

This helicopter was assembled by Schweizer back in 1990. It was imported to Sweden by the Swedish Hughes/Schweizer agent, SAAB Helicopter, in early 1990. It obtained its Swedish registration in March the same year.

SE-HVR was acquired by HT Helikopter Transport in June 1990. It was utilized for power line inspection operations and photo/filming jobs throughout large parts of the country.

On 15 April 1997, the helicopter was performing a power line inspection close to Skärhamn in south-western Sweden when it struck a smaller crossing power line. The inspector lost his life in the crash and the pilot got severe burns. The aircraft was written off following the accident.
