Information

This helicopter was constructed by the French Eurocopter department in Marginane (near Marseilles) in 2005. It was delivered to Sweden in February 2005. The flight went from Marginane via Macon-Charnay, Hahn, Hamburg, Malmö, Stockholm and then finally to Piteå. The aircraft was stored in Piteå for quite some time, before it entered service with the operator Kallax Flyg in September 2005.

SE-JJM was used for various operations, including reindeer herding, air taxi, heliski, sling-load ops and various aerial work.

Accident
On the 15th of August 2015 SE-JJM was en-route from the Norwegian town Alta to Kiruna, Sweden, on a ferry flight. When passing Reisadalen, northern Norway, the pilot initiated a right-hand turn, and the helicopter started to settle. The Norwegian Accident Investigation Board says that the helicopter then hit the ground and sustained substantial damages. The pilot, who was the sole occupant on board, was transported to Tromsø hospital with back injuries.

Back in duty
SE-JJM was repaired and repainted, and returned to service in 2017. It was purchased by Jonair Affärsflyg in Umeå, which started an operational partnership with Kallax Flyg. The helicopter has its home base at Umeå Airport.
