The legendary Y-64 is being towed to the Swedish Air Force Museum after roughly 7 100 hours in the air. The helicopter made its last flight on 5 December 2007, when it was flown from the Berga Helicopter Base in Stockholm to Malmen Air Base in Linköping. It was then stored in a hangar at the 2.hkpskv and placed in alert for a possible participation in the International Security Assistance Force's (ISAF) operation in Afghanistan. On 9 April 2010 the Swedish Minister for Defence, Mr Sten Tolgfors, announced the Government's decision to permanently retire the whole fleet HKP 4s. This canceled the Afghanistan plans and Y-64 was soon donated to the prominent Swedish Air Force Museum.
