Information

This aircraft was constructed at the French Eurocopter plant back in 2002. It was owned by UK based McAlpine Helicopters for five months in late-2003 before it was exported to Ireland for Irish Abrasives (reg. EI-DDB).

EI-DDB was flown to Sweden in the summer of 2010 and was painted with the registration SE-JNG in late-2010. It was formally registered in Sweden in January 2011. The aircraft is owned by a private company in Dalarna County (Barken Timmer AB).

The helicopter was sold to Russia in August 2012. It was replaced by an Eurocopter AS350 B2 (SE-HJL).

Accident in Russia
RA-04049 was involved in a fatal accident in the Kola Peninsula, east of Murmansk, on 21 July 2013. Three people lost their lives and one was injured when the EC120 helicopter fell onto its side during take-off from an area in the vicinity of a tourist camp, local authorities said.
