Information

This helicopter was constructed by Bell back in 1971 and was imported from the U.S. (prev. N2915W) to Sweden by Umeå based AB Lapplandsflyg/LapAir in early-1973. It was put into service as a passenger transporter - mainly operating in the highlands of northern Sweden. The helicopter proved to become a faithful workhorse, like the most of the helicopters in Lapplandsflyg's Bell fleet.

Unfortunately the helicopter was involved in an accident 5 km north of Sorsele in November 1998 when the pilot experienced a white-out during a hover in snowy conditions and struck a building. The machine was never repaired.
