Information
This machine was manufactured in 1978 and was imported to Sweden by the power company Sydkraft AB the same year. It was operated by Rehnström Aero AB, which conducted the powerline inspections for Sydkraft. After ten years in faithful service a private person in Östersund acquired
SE-HIN, and in 1990 it entered service with Midland Air AB - based in the same city. The machine was later sold to a private owner.
The aircraft was purchased by
Stockholms Helikoptertjänst in late-2007 as a replacement for
SE-HCM that had been lost in an accident earlier the same winter.
SE-HIN was put in service at once, and it was mainly used for census operations and photographic flights throughout the country.
SE-HIN was temporary retired from
Stockholms Helikoptertjänst's fleet in late May 2013. It was sold to the private company Flightline Sweden AB in Torsby in early October 2013. The helicopter soon returned to active duty in
Stockholms Helikoptertjänst.
SE-HIN left the company's fleet in late April 2017.
