Information

This helicopter was constructed in Bell Helicopter's factory in Canada in 1996. It was meant to be delivered to USA (reg. N62828) but was sold to Germany in March the same year instead. However, before even getting a German permit the helicopter left for Sweden instead, purchased by the legendary company Lapplandsflyg AB. As it was registered here in April it made the first Bell 407 in the country. The helicopter got based at Lapplandsflygs base in Umeå during the winters and at the base in Kvikkjokk during the summer. It is still owned and operated by Lapplandsflyg and is mostly used for passenger transports and various aerial works. Some of the most well-known passengers who have flown in this very powerful machine are the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The couple took to the air in the helicopter during an official visit to Hemavan in August 2003, exactly 50 years after Lapplandsflyg was established.

SE-JEB was exported to the US in the spring of 2006.
