Information

This aircraft was constructed in the US back in 1977. Its career stretched through Canada, Germany, Portugal, Denmark/Greenland (Greenlandair) and Norway (Helifly, together with SE-JBU) before it was imported to Sweden. It came here in early-2002. The helicopter was purchased by the company Helimatic AB and put in service as an aerial work aircraft. It's currently used for manoeuvring vertical and horizontal saws for forest clearing in the vicinity of power lines. The aircraft is also used for constructing masts and inspecting power lines. It's operated all around Scandinavia together with it's sister SE-JGF.

Helimatic was acquired by HeliAir Sweden AB in late-2009 and this aircraft joined HeliAir's fleet in November the same year.

The aircraft was used for a wide range of operations, with focus in sawing and power line inspections, as well as taxi operations. It was fitted with a four-blade tail rotor in order to reduce the noise signature in the spring of 2013.

The aircraft was sold to the Finnish company Heliwest Oy in June 2013. Heliwest is focused in sawing operations and power line documentation. The helicopter was exported to Finland and got the registration OH-HNX.
