Information

This aircraft was constructed in 1976 and spent some time in France, the Philippines and Australia before it was brought to Sweden in March of 2004. The helicopter was purchased by the company Helimatic AB and put in service as an aerial work aircraft. It's currently used for manoeuvring vertical and horizontal saws for forest clearing in the vicinity of power lines. The aircraft is also used for constructing masts and inspecting power lines. It's operated all around Scandinavia together with it's sister SE-JGE.

Helimatic was acquired by HeliAir Sweden AB in late-2009 and this aircraft joined HeliAir's fleet in November the same year. It came to be used for a wide range of jobs, including aerial sawing, power line inspections, mast mounting operations, taxi, and so on.

SE-JGF went through a total make-over between 2012 and 2013. The overhaul included a new livery and a four-blade tail rotor. It returned to service in late 2013. The visual exterior came to be the row model for the company's four other Hughes 500s, which were painted identically.

In May 2016, HeliAir started to modernize its fleet. Several older helicopters were cancelled from the company's fleet, including SE-JGF. The company quickly added two EC120s to its fleet (SE-JMP and SE-JRT). SE-JGF was sold to the United States of America. It was formally removed from the Swedish aircraft register on 28 July 2016.
