SE-HJJ

Information

This helicopter was manufactured by Bell back in 1985, and it spent the first major part of its career in service with the Japan Police Force. The aircraft was equipped with a rear sliding door for the possibility to load a stretcher.

The helicopter was imported to Sweden via the US in late 2007. It was formally registered SE-HJJ in early 2008.

The helicopter was soon incorporated in the newly established helicopter company HeliAir Sweden's fleet. It was used for many different kinds of jobs, including air taxi, power line inspection, doing airborne "skysign" advertisement, dropping parachutists, filming, and so on.

In May 2016, HeliAir started to modernize its fleet. Several older helicopters were cancelled from the company's fleet, including SE-HJJ (which was the last Jet Ranger in service). The company quickly added two EC120s to its fleet (SE-JMP and SE-JRT). SE-HJJ was sold to the United States of America. It was formally removed from the Swedish aircraft register on 28 July 2016.
