Information
This helicopter was constructed back in 1978. It was operated in USA and UK for five years before the Swedish company Ostermans Aero AB purchased the helicopter, in 1983. It was registered as
SE-HMO on 25 March 1983. The helicopter was mainly based at Ostermans Aeros facilities at Barkaby Airfield, in Stockholm, and was operated on a wide range of missions. When Ostermans Aero decided to cut down on its flight activities and focus in helicopter maintenance
SE-HMO was sold.
The helicopter was owned and operated by Kiruna Flyg for a few years before it was purchased by Lars-Anders AB in late-December 1998. Lars-Anders used the helicopter in his newly established company Westhelicopter.
SE-HMO was exported to Turkey in the autumn of 2000. It was ferried to Turkey by pilot Aram Rubinstein and it got the registration
TC-HHC. However, within a couple of years the owner decided to sell the helicopter, and the Swedish helicopter company Nya Skyline Helikopter AB bought the aircraft. It was ferried back to Sweden and registered
SE-HMO on 25 January 2002.
The helicopter served with Skyline Helikopter AB and was frequently used for sightseeing operations at fairs and exhibitions all around the country.
As Skyline purchased Osterman Helicopter and united the two companies in October 2005 - giving the new company the name Osterman Helicopter - this aircraft became a formal member of the Osterman Helicopter fleet. The helicopter was re-painted in 2006.
SE-HMO was sold to Brogården Fastighets AB in Lit in early-2007. The private company purchased a Bell 407 (
SE-JRP) in the autumn of 2014. The Bell 407 eventually replaced
SE-HMO, and the Long Ranger was sold to Autotjänst-Laitis AB in Östersund in May 2015.
The helicopter was leased to
HeliNord Norden in June 2015.
SE-HMO was the third Long Ranger in the company's active fleet after
SE-HKC and
SE-HZB.
